Three years of full-scale invasion. Eleven years of fighting evil.
Three years of full-scale invasion. Eleven years of fighting evil.
The war that has altered the lives of millions continues. Ukrainians, scattered across the world, remain united, strong, and unyielding in their fight for freedom and justice.

In recent days, Cyprus became a powerful symbol of Ukrainian unity as the voice of Ukraine resonated louder than ever before.

A rally in Paphos brought together Ukrainians to demonstrate their unwavering support for their homeland. The event emphasized the ongoing struggle for freedom, not only for Ukraine but for all European nations. The participants made it clear: "We are not alone. We are part of a great world community that stands for truth and justice."

The rally was marked by the powerful performance of the Ukrainian choir "Vilna", whose song filled the square and touched the hearts of every attendee.

The event in Nicosia, on Elefteria Square served as a solemn reminder of the tragic human toll of the war, with the following harrowing statistics:

  • 599 children killed
  • 1,762 children injured – those who survived but whose lives were permanently changed
  • 19,546 deported – individuals forcibly separated from their homes and loved ones

Attendees held lit candles and showed photos of killed children, calling for the protection of innocent lives and declaring, "No child should die because of war!"

In Nicosia, Ukrainians also gathered in front of the Russian Embassy to send a clear message: "We will never surrender our land."

The demonstration in Limassol, on Molos, which featured the Great Flag of Ukraine, was a bold statement against the ongoing Russian aggression war in Ukraine and a call for the world to recognize the global threat posed by this war. The rally participants declared: "No negotiations without Ukraine! No compromise with evil! Ukrainian victory is the only path to peace!"

The emotional unity and resilience of those present was evident as they stood side by side, singing the Ukrainian national anthem.
Tears flowed, symbolizing the deep solidarity and shared determination that binds them together.

In Larnaca, Ukrainians gathered around the Anchor Heart of Odesa, a symbol of strength and hope for the Ukrainian community in Cyprus. This place of power witnessed the heartfelt expressions of those who, even even far from home, remain committed to Ukraine. Participants held posters filled with personal messages of pain, resilience, and defiance.

A prayer service was held at the Anchor, led by Father Petro of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Oleksandr Teren, a defender of Ukraine. Both individuals spoke words of support and solidarity, reaffirming that the struggle for freedom and justice knows no borders.

The rallies across Cyprus made one thing abundantly clear: the fight for freedom continues, and no matter where they are, Ukrainians are united like never before.

"We are scattered across the world, but together – as never before," said one of the rally organizers. "Every rally, every demonstration, is our voice, our unity, and our resilience."

The Ukrainian community in Cyprus has once again shown that the battle for freedom transcends borders. Their collective voice serves as a powerful reminder to the world that their struggle is not just for Ukraine, but for the values of peace, justice, and human dignity.
